Well i watched it,and it only served to remind me why i dislike the show.

The theme this week,was UK and American number 1′s,so the possibilities were unlimited,so why do we yet again get a series of songs pre-1990,and why do people who were not even born then choose an old song? Well i guess they don’t,the songs are chosen for them,if they had a choice i doubt any of the acts would of chosen the songs they sang.
The only person who got a relatively recent song to sing was Rachel Hylton,who got to sing Robyn’s Every Heartbeat,which was released in 2007,only to be told by one and all it was rubbish.
So back to the 80′s from now on in i guess.
The VT’s
The VT’s on x-factor are all part of what is known as jeopardy TV,where they hype it up, whereby its all or nothing,you go through or, all your dreams are over (bit harsh considering most of these are in their teens to early twenties) ,every single VT had that, “if i don’t hit that high note” ” If i can’t walk and sing at the same time” “Its a big song,if i get it wrong” The last line of each was almost like they were reading it off a cue card. All accompanied by dramatic music.
The Judges
Simon and Louis waving their handbags around at each other,Cheryl and Danni saying all nice things in a Paula Abdul kind of way,Simon playing to the crowd in his usual pantomime villain persona,all very dreary all staged all very predictable.
Who will win
Well we have the usual cannon fodder for the first few weeks,Girlband although they survived over bad lashes this week,won’t be there much longer,Daniel Evans (who looks like a cross between Ricky Gervais and Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy) should also go soon,but he has the dead wife card still to play with accompanied sad song,so maybe not,well at least for a few weeks. Ruth Lorenzo ,as great as she looked in that dress won’t be there long.
I get the feeling the judges would like Laura White to win,shes like a fat,TV friendly Amy Winehouse. So obviously she will go close,another possibility is Rachel Hylton,who comes across like Fantasia who won American Idol a few years back,Alexandra Burke can certainly sing and has legs like Jamelia,shes like Leona Lewis with a personality,so she has a chance,Eoghan Quigg will get the teenage girls and the granny vote,but i don’t think that will be enough for him to win,but if i had to choose only one now,it would be Scott Bruton as he seems to tick all the x-factor boxes. (And hes 50/1 with the bookies as we speak)
